Kinkell1, also known as Sue, was our friend. She was a geocacher, she was determined, and she was great fun. And she knew how to party: Anything that involved "chocolate" was welcome! For many years, she celebrated her birthday (it is today!) with caching friends in this park. Last year both Sue and her beloved companion, Tilley TB, were still here at this time of the year. Within three weeks of her birthday party, both had passed away.
This could be a sad occasion, but we would like to make it a happy one. It is birthday time! There is no doubt that Sue will be smiling down upon us! Kinkell1’s motto for these events has always been: “No presents, just your presence required.” A number of regional cachers have their birthdays around this time of the year as well. There will be plenty of reasons to celebrate, be merry and maybe reminisce just a little bit.
The park boasts plenty of space for children and dogs to run around, a playground, shelter with tables, 2 electric barbecues, some seating, toilets and parking. If you are so inclined, you could even stay on for a dip in the local swimming pool or a round of golf nearby.
As January can be hot, make sure you keep up the water and seek out the shade if the sun is merciless.
Looking forward to seeing lots of friendly cachers to celebrate the birthday bash.
