With your help by finding this cache we can make this path passable again. With just a few geocachers passing through the path I aim to make these Geocaches 1.5 terrain caches by next Christmas (2017). This cache is possible to find without secateurs however trousers are essential.
This part of the Chantries is so wild that when I was placing the cache I got within meters of two small deer, pheasants (which I had never seen here before) and numerous rabbits and squirrels.
The Chantries form part of the ridge of the North Downs, just to the South of Guildford. Chantry Wood is 78 hectares of mixed woodland and an Area of High Ecological Value within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in striking distance of Guildford Town Centre. The Chantries are popular with walkers (and dogs) all year. Rabbits, deer, badgers and foxes live wild there. In April/May the wooded area is a mass of bluebells. The top of the hill has open fields with stunning views to the south.
The cache is a nano cache hidden inside a fake snail. Keep your eyes peeled as it is extremely realistic.
