Geocache Description:

This cache is NOT at the posted coordinates.  You are looking for a black bison tube.  It is placed with permission.

Finding a television show with really good writing and great characters is not always easy.  I’ve published a number of puzzles relating to some of my favorite “cop” shows so this time, I’m moving into the comedy sitcom arena.  I have three all-time favorites.  Number one is M.A.S.H.  It lasted 11 seasons and went 251 episodes with the final episode having 125 million viewers; the most ever.  I loved the characters and the dialogue was amazing.  The show’s writers were some of the best.

Number two was introduced to me by my oldest granddaughter, Jessica (She’s featured in another of my puzzles).  If you’re lucky enough to be a FaceBook friend of hers, you are periodically treated to “Gilmore-isms.”  I’m referring of course, to “Gilmore Girls.”  Again, the characters and the dialogue are amazing.

Finally, number three is “Friends.”  I’ve only recently started watching this and find the dialogue between the “friends” extremely entertaining.

Now for the puzzle.  As I’ve said, the characters in these three are great.  They all have their particular quirks which only adds to their part in the series.  The jobs of the characters play an important part in each episode.  One of the characters in one of these shows is a “Jack (or Jill) of all trades.”  Your job is to determine the coordinates using the jobs this character has throughout the series.  There are 62 of them.  It’s not necessary that you watch every episode,  although you could.  A little research should give you what you need. On a number of the answers you will have to add or subtract a given amount to give you the correct coordinate number.  For example, if the job is listed as “Pilot – subtract 7” and the answer you find for “Pilot” is 10, you would subtract the 7 from the 10, giving you 3 for your answer.

The final coords are: AB CD.EF  GH 0I.JKL

  • A Security alarm installer
  • B Skydiver – add 3
  • C Swan delivery man
  • D One-of-a-kind mailbox salesman – add 2
  • E Souvenir salesman
  • F Mailman – subtract 12
  • G Video rental clerk
  • H Spy

ZERO IS GIVEN

  • I Mold inspector – subtract 18
  • J Pedicab driver – subtract 10
  • K Termite inspector – subtract 5
  • L Hockey announcer – subtract 8
