The World's Largest Egg is located in Winlock Washington and is impossible to miss. This will be the easiest cache most people will ever find. The coordinates are actually for the parking lot next to "The egg."
I have been passing this spot every year on the Seattle-to-Portland bicycle ride and always thought it was an interesting piece of Americana. When I started geocaching last year I assumed this spot had long since been posted as a geocache. When I found out it wasn't while searching for caches along the bike route I decided to record the coordinates on this years ride and make it my first virtual geocache. It is not far off of I-5 and should make a nice half-hour diversion for people driving between Seattle and Portland.
Since this is such an easy find, even without a GPS, I am requiring anyone who logs this cache to take a picture of themselves at the egg and attach it to their log or e-mail it to me.
Anyone without access to a digital camera or scanner can now prove they found the egg by sending me an e-mail with the names of the very successful athletes listed in the park and the sport in which they excelled. DO NOT post their names or their sport in your log.
It has been reported that the sign listing the local athletes has been removed so I am now also accepting information from two plaques in the park as proof of visiting this cache. In addition to the athletic information, you can now log this cache without a picture by e-mailing me the name of the person on one of the plaques or the saying on the other plaque.
