Geocache Description:

This cache has been placed in a boiler from a ship that sunk in a tsunami. The boiler has been flooded to this place and they just kept it.

The story behind this cache: I have been living in Chile for 4 weeks and suggested to my Chilean friend to place more caches in Arica. I spotted a nice place under a loose piece of concrete. He told me that it would not be a good location for a geocache, because it will be fixed within a couple of months. I told him to place a cache to find out when they will fix it. When we hid the cache, I noticed that a few hundred meters away from this loose piece of concrete, this amazing boiler is being exposed. So I decided that this is the nicer and probably safer spot for a geocache. If you want to do me a favor, please walk to S 18° 26.903 W 070° 18.133 and let me know, if the sidewalk has been fixed ;)

This place is very nice to visit in the evenings because loads of birds are coming for a rest in the evening. The number of birds is pretty impressive:
