Geocache Description:

Follow the trail from the parking lot to get across the brook. From here, there are a couple ways to get to the GZ by trail, but neither is particularly well marked at the moment. There may be blue ribbons in the trees to follow.  The trails will be properly marked in the spring of 2017. The trail is about .4 miles long to the GZ. FTF gets their choice of a UVLT t-shirt or ballcap. PLEASE be sure to hide the cache exactly as you found it.

Ely Mountain Conservation Area is a 200 acre forest owned by the Upper Valley Land Trust. It is managed for wildlife habitat, as well as public enjoyement. This geocache location was selected to bring people to see the largest diameter white ash tree in the State of Vermont! Ash trees in the northeast are at risk due to Emerald Ash Borer, an invasive insect which kills ash trees.
