Even two years after taking my new job in Vinings, I'm still finding odd, unusual, interesting and/or informative locations in the area. Atlanta is chock full of tiny, out-of-the way places that are of historical significance...and today I discovered yet another one of these spots, which was important to the Battle of Atlanta during the Civil War, and knew that bringing folks here for a cache would be a great idea. It's not just about the cache, but the interesting facts about the area you walk through on the way to the cache are worth bringing folks to. The bonus is that once you get to the cache, you actually get a great view of the Atlanta skyline on a clear day.
That being said, this spot is close to a number of residences, so please respect the neighbors and limit your search to daylight hours.
