This cache is set up a short walk from the Goongerah campground. A simple cache set up to help pass the time at this recommended camping area, should you wish to attempt the Errinundra series of caches over more then 1 day. This is the best way to do it. Caches are set up at other suitable camping spots, but this is the best. Set on the Brodribb river (great for a skinny dip) and there are fire pits and tables.
At the time of placement the Goongerah Thunderbox (toilet) is out of order until the local community can raise some funds for a replacement system. Shame the government wont promote or support local attractions. There is no phone reception, however there is a pay phone (yes they still exist) 1km north outside the school. Sometimes you can even pick up a wi fi signal around here. I hope you enjoy your visit here and if heading up onto the plateau, please ensure you follow the advice given at GC6YY60.
