A lengthy hike in the quiet and scenic northeast corner of Harold Parker State Forest in North Andover. The cache location can be accessed as a nice side trip off of the Bay Circuit Trail and yields a commanding view of this beautiful section of the forest.
The Andover/North Andover area (and surrounding towns) exhibit significant evidence of glacial activity from drumlins and eskers to kettle ponds and erratics. This cache is located along the Ledges Trail which can be accessed off of the Bay Circuit Trail in the northeast corner of Harold Parker State Forest in North Andover. The trail from the Bay Circuit Trail passes through varied terrain and passes many smaller glacial erratics. The cache can be accessed from several HPSF trailheads along Middleton Road and Harold Parker Road in North Andover. The difficulty rating is due to the distance from these various HPSF trailheads and the terrain covered. Please be sure to rehide the cache container exactly as found.
