Geocache Description:

Located at the Back Pond at the northern city limit of Brockville, ON.

Cache is located at the Mac Johnson Wildlife Area. This is a very dog friendly area but keep a hold of the leash as you never know what critters will scurry across the path.

The cache is in a Lock n' Lock container with a Geocaching sticker on it and is located close to the Beaver Pond that was originally a private fishing pond created by Albert Debruge. When cache is found, due to location it is advisable to move down trail to inspect the contents as it is a high traffic area for other hikers. When replacing the cache, be sure that the cache is not visible from various angles.

The Wildlife Area is also home to a Trumpeter Swan breeding program and these beautiful birds with their unusual honk can be sometimes found at the Trumpeter Swan compound shown on the map.

Through the efforts of Friends Of Mac Johnson Wildlife Area this beautiful area is maintained and looked after.

UPDATE: There are 4 ways into the site, just look at the map. (Secret Entrance can ONLY be accessed from the Centennial Road end of McLarry Road, walk around gate, trail starts near a tall tree a short way down the road)
