Geocache Description:

Another nice walk in the Ives Forest. You should enter through the trailhead into the Harold Parker State Forest and follow the trails as they pass the park boundary into North Reading town forest. Good sized rock near GZ but cache is not hidden there. Hunting is allowed in the area and there are ticks so the usual measures should be followed.

Ives forest is a great place to explore with many trails, small hills and lots of wildlife. You should take a look at Pinster56's 2006 "Ives Forest Cache" GCZX6T for a little history of the area.

There are no lighthouses in the area, but I filled the cache with some of our signature "chasandmeg" flashlights and I had some nice lighthouse pictures so that kind of explains the cache name.

Cache is a smallish lock-n-lock with natural camouflage. Currently three other trads and a puzzle in this area so plan your route well!
