11/24/2022: I have decided to archive and remove this cache. No one has found the cache (or logged a visit) since 1/1/22, so wondering if it is still there or of interest to the "modern" geocacher. I placed this cache in July 2002 - 20 years ago!! I was an active geocacher then. But over the years the cache finds have slowed. While I would see a periodic find posted I kept it active. But, now almost a full year without a find, I think it is best to retire the cache. I will be removing the Cache this weekend, archiving it prior to heading out. Until I archive this log, it will remain active. The original logbook is still there so newcomers can review the entries from the last 6 years. Mountain bikes are welcome (see picts) on the trails, though riders should be aware of hikers. Large sticks hide the cache. Please re-hide well, as this is a popular hiking area. I rated the overall difficulty a 3, as reception may be a challenge. Parking is located at N43 12.455 & W71 03.396. (On Swains Road, off Rt 202 in Barrington) There are trailmaps available and the main trails offer a self-guided nature tour. 'Cachers' should plan some extra time to explore the area. The Cache is a 9"x9" Rubbermaid container containing things for kids and adults. The usual logbook and pencils are included as well.
