Just past the trail to Franconia Falls is a bridge that crosses Franconia Brook. Many hikers enjoy stopping on the bridge to enjoy the view. This cache is placed off in the woods to the right of the bridge, if cachers are walking to the bridge from Lincoln Woods.
To reach it, park at the Lincoln Woods parking lot (fee required), 5 miles east of Lincoln on the Kancamagus Highway. Walk to the ranger cabin and take the stairs down on your left. Bear left, and then cross over the large suspension bridge. Enjoy the river view while crossing and then turn right on the Lincoln Woods Trail, which is nearly flat as it follows the wide old logging railroad grade. The cache, which is approximately 2 3/4 miles away, is a black bison. Bring your own pen and tweezers.
