As much as children usually enjoy visiting Franconia Falls in Lincoln, the 6+ mile roundtrip journey can be very tiring for some. This cache, a round, medium container with some SWAG for children, has been placed with the hope that children can be amused by finding it while going to or from the falls.
To reach it, park at the Lincoln Woods parking lot (fee required), 5 miles east of Lincoln on the Kancamagus Highway. Walk to the ranger cabin and take the stairs down on your left. Bear left, and then cross over the large suspension bridge. Enjoy the river view while crossing and then turn right on the Lincoln Woods Trail, which is nearly flat as it follows the wide old logging railroad grade. The cache is approximately 2 miles away, one-way, and is close to the trail. It is on the river side of the trail. It was very difficult to get a good reading here with the tree cover but the hint should help.
