Geocache Description:

This is a well-kept beautiful Cemetery at the Manchester/Dorset, Vermont Town Line on Route US 7. No night caching please. Do not upset or disturb any markers or headstones.

You do not need to move or touch any of them to collect the information needed. Gentle respect for the occupants is expected. Please don't bring animals or allow small children to run about. If you have your children with you, by all means have them help collect the information you need and use this as a learning experience for them about proper cemetery behavior.

This is a cemetery cache with a little work and walking involved.  You are being asked to locate certain headstones and to use the dates of death to calculate the final coordinates for the actual cache location.

The final coordinates are in the Cemetery.

All six of the stones you have to locate are in the UPPER section of the Cemetery, between the upper cemetery gravel road and the tree line, which is parallel to the gravel road.

Find the following stones and make note of the dates of death listed.  Use the partial dates below to insure you are at the correct gravesite.

Duane L. Kent 5/14/_______        (An obelisk with an urn on top)

Benjamin Deming 3/30/_______   (An obelisk)

Samuel A. Sheller 3/12/_______   (An obelisk with an urn on top)

Sum up the dates and subtract 7252726 to determine Latitude for the cache location.

Now find the following stones and make note of the dates listed.

Augusta M. Batchelder 8/15/_______      (An urn)

John W. Batchelder 8/17/_______            (An obelisk with an urn on top)

Charlie R. Crandall 11/10/_______           (An urn)

Sum up the dates and subtract 20124680 to determine Longitude for the cache location

Please make sure you close the top tightly to keep things dry inside. You can validate your solution by clicking the icon below. Make sure you enter a space after "N" and "W" and after the degrees portions of the solution (your answer should look like N 99 99.999 W 99 99.999 including the spaces)

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
