So you maybe you are praying for snow so you could walk to these caches instead of paddling. I wouldn't recommend it. If we do have a lot of snow we have to shovel it. Also, I think you'd be out of luck cause I don't think the river ever freezes completely over. All I can say is keep on paddling. You'll get there.
Enjoyed this brew when I was gifted a beer of the month subscription. The river runs narrower and is a little shallower in this section so it makes for an interesting paddle.
