Bring Your Camera for this.. I can't believe this isn't in the Reg. of Historic places..
Note: On Dec 5th, 2002 I nominated this site to the National Register of Historic Places.
As I was talking to the local historian (Doris Crook) about the Blacksmith's Shop cache that I did(it's now archived because it was relocated to a park), she was so kind to point out to me that there was another old stucture nearby.
Hyde's Mill is owned by Ted Sawle Sr (now 100 years old). He also was the carpenter that crafted the Mill's present waterwheel. Though it's not in use now.. you'll see many reasons to take pictures of this as well as all the stone wheels anchored in concrete. Up on top of the hill stands the Old Mill House. Another gem deserving a moment of study. Ted Sawle Sr is now in a local nursing home, it's a shame he's not there to show off his many carpentry tools of the past.
To get credit for this cache please post a PICTURE of you and your GPS with the Mill or Millhouse in the background.
Thanks!
