Unfortunately I cannot see any evidence that indicates that steps have been taken to resolve the issue/s associated with this placement. It would appear the owner of this cache listing is no longer interested in the cache and it has been abandoned.

As such I am regretfully de-listing (Archiving) this cache. If there are components or remnants of the cache, please recover them as we don't want to litter our environment with Georubbish.

Geocache Description:

This is a microcache located in a park in picturesque Woodend. There is plenty of street parking available along two sides of the park and the cache is easily acessed from either side of the park. It's a pleasant place to stop for a picnic or a play on the play equipment located across the park from the cache location. You will need to bring your own pen.

1st Woodend Scout Group was formed in 1927 and has been operating very successfully ever since. In 2017 we decided to create a series of geocaches to help celebrate 90 years of continuous scouting. Many of our scouts were first introduced to Geocaching during the Australian Geocaching Competition run by Scouts Australia in 2013.

This cache is a memorial to Wontolla and a thanks for her commitment to scouts. Wontolla has provided more than 35 years of leadership to scouts throughout New South Wales and Victoria including attending 6 Australian Jamborees.  She is well known throughout the scouting community for her knowledge, her campfire songs and her purple and teal hair!

The cache is located in a park quite close to her home. If you listen carefully you may hear her quoting Rudyard Kipling:

“Wood and Water, Wind and Tree,

Wisdom, Strength, and Courtesy,

Jungle-Favour go with thee!”
