Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the listed location but it is a great spot for views of the ocean. Read the message to find the final location.

After my last trip to California where we found a lot of caches out in the Mojave Desert, I filed all my notes and other papers from the trip away (o.k., maybe piled and forgotten on a back corner of my desk is a more accurate description), and I hadn’t looked at them until just recently. In that pile of papers I found that there was one cryptic note that I had somehow forgotten all about. It was engraved on a small piece of thin shiny metal that was about as thin as a piece of paper and almost as flexible.

Try as I might I can’t figure out what the message is or if it’s even important. I remember at the time I found it in the desert sand there was some good reason to save it but for the life of me nothing on the piece of metal looks familiar now. Originally I guess I saved it because I couldn’t imagine any known technology that could create it. I tried Google and searched almost every reference on earth to try and interpret the message and came up with nothing.  It almost looks like it might have come from some Alien Nation. Maybe some newcomer with a different set of eyes can decipher it. If the message leads you to some great treasure, perhaps you’ll want to keep that information to yourself. I’m sure the truth is out there somewhere.

Congratulations to 21alpine for a well deserved FTF ! Way to go!
