Nemesis: I collected this cache on 31/3/05. The climb up was very slippery after the recent heavy rain, and the stream was really high. One part of the track was quite dangerous, it put the Vertigo Extreme cache in Dunedin to shame.[;)] Thanks everyone who found my cache. I have enjoyed reading about your experiences.[:)] I have included a photo of the final cache contents with this log. I will redistribute the contents into other caches, mostly around Dunedin.

Geocache Description:

Location: About 16 km south of Hanmer Springs, Canterbury, New Zealand.

The stash is above ground, but invisible from 5 m.
The terrain is steep and the path is very narrow in places, take care.

Initial Cache Contents:

* A tin of steak and vegetable stew
* A small packet of CD wipes
* A 3 g tube of super glue
* A pair of ear plugs
* A pair of dice
* A yo-yo

Directions:

The stash (Accuracy 10 m Elevation 282 m) is hidden in a 1.9 litre rectangular translucent plastic snap lock container within dense scrub, about 75 m north-east of the parking area (S 42°39.928' E 172°45.837' Elevation 278 m). See the hints for more detail.

The parking area is on the east side of Sate Highway 7. Ensure that any item you bring to swap is small enough for the stash (it is quite full). On the way to the stash you will find a nice swimming hole (wouldn't be fun in winter). Additionally, there are great geothermal baths nearby in Hanmer Springs.

Warning! There is a danger of falling while negotiating the steep narrow path to the stash, exercise caution.
