Royal Park is the largest of Melbourne’s parks, covering 170 hectares, and its wide open stretches of open grass alternate with areas of lightly timbered eucalypt forest, home to possums and a huge variety of birdlife, including rosellas, wrens, robins and birds of prey. This geocache will take you into the lesser visited section of Royal Park where you can stroll around in amongst the trees and on paths, made and unmade until you decide that the time is ripe to find this geocache.
At this location you will need to be aware of parking cars and people walking past to get to the rear entrance to the zoo. But there is a great hint that should enable you to locate the geocache without too much struggle and minimise exposure to the muggle contingent.
