Update of my cache originally hidden 10/28/2004
If you start at the recommended parking area you'll have a walk of 1,2 km (one way). The short distance from the parking to the waypoint is very steep (but climbing is not required).
From there to the cache you will remain on the same level.
From the waypoint please walk to the left and take the path outside the quarry (it starts at the sign you see at the picture). Approaching the cache please walk around the lake clockwise as it will keep your feet dry.
You'll start at the sharpest bent of german main railroad lines.
The cache will bring you to the remainders of a old cement plant. It was founded in the early 20th century producing untill the 1930‘s.The waypoint is placed in the old quarry where the limestone was cut. The cache you will find nearby the place where a coalmine was located. The coal was used to heat the cement furnace. Today you’ll find several ponds there.

Update meines Caches vom 28.10.2004 (umgestaltet, da der ursprüngliche Startpunkt in einem Naturschutzgebiet lag).
Wenn Ihr am empfohlenen Parkplatz startet, habt Ihr einen Weg von 1,2 km (einfach) zurück zu legen. Der kurze Weg vom Parkplatz zum Wegpunkt ist recht steil (klettern ist aber nicht nötig), danach geht es in etwa auf der gleichen Höhe weiter.
Vom Wegpunkt halte Dich links und gehe auf dem schmalen Pfad, der außerhalb um den Steinbruch herum führt. Er beginnt an dem Schild (siehe Foto). Um die Füße trocken zu halten gehe bitte in der Nähe des Caches im Uhrzeigersinn um den See.
Ihr startet an der engsten Kurve der deutschen Eisenbahnfernstrecken.
Dieser Cache führt zu den Überresten eines alten Zementwerkes. Es wurde Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts errichtet und produzierte bis in die 30ger Jahre. Der Wegpunkt befindet sich am Rande des zugehörigen Kalksteinbruchs. Der Cache liegt ganz in der Nähe eines alten Braunkohlebergwerks. Zeitweilig wurde die hier geförderte Kohle zum Brennen des Zements eingesetzt. Heute befinden sich hier Teiche.
