Geocache Description:


Lots of us go camping at Wilsons Promontory during the summer holiday, and also during the holidays there are a lot of day visitors down here.
Here's an opportunity to join in the fun on Australia Day and join us for a get together and BBQ.
At GZ you'll find a very pleasant location beside the Loo Ern track, overlooking the river and reedy wetland.
If you're camping down here just roll up with your steaks and drinks, and if you're a day tripper you can park near the Park Office at the indicated parking waypoint. You can stock up with food and drinks at the nearby supermarket if necessary.

IMPORTANT:
During holiday periods such as the January School Holidays, camping at Tidal River is pre booked after a ballot.
If you want to camp and have not already done so, you need to contact the Park Office to check for vacancies.
