Simon’s Town HM #5: Multi in a Multi!
The micro camo-tube cache is hidden along the route of GC2HT5Y Simon's Town Historical Mile #1: Overview and will provide you with a nice short multi bonus cache near the pleasant resting spot at the high point (at Step 3) of that much longer multi.
To reach the cache location:
Either park as for the #1 cache or – if you wish to do the cache as a stand-alone - park at or near S 34 11.648 E 18 25.881 at the end of Goede Gift Road which is accessed off Runciman Drive at S 34 11.714 E 18 25.866.
Step 1: head to and/or down the upper flight of steps where S 34 11.645 E 18 25.883 you will note an inscribed name on the bottom step – probably the person who built or restored them. The total number of letters = A
Step 2: head across to S 34 11.637 E 18 25.880the location of an address sign. In the bottom left corner of this is a date 0B/2002 where the number of the month = B
Step 3: continue a little to S 34 11.633 E 18 25.868 where you will see a plaque on the wall of this old house of an
Imam – a muslim religious scholar who lived there from 1910-1982 and completed an epic translation in 196C.
