This multi/offset cache will bring you to a site of historical signficance in Warren. There is street parking available at the cache.

The posted coordiantes will bring you a sign which describes the history of the area and Warren's importance in the oyster industry. Read the sign and use the below information to lead you to the cache:

There is a quote from Jonathan Swift on the sign, followed by the date of 179U.

By 19XY, the peak year for oyster farming in Rhode Island, over 20,000 acres of Narragansett Bay were under cultivation, and oysters contributed V0% of Rhode Island’s fishery income.

Several icy winters in the 1930’s, and the Hurricane of 193T destroyed close to 8Z% of oyster beds.
