Geocache Description:

Second in the Abandoned Ski Area Series, this cache is a clear micro with log, one trade item and a wooden token for FTF. Bring a pencil!

The Copple Crown ski area dates back to the 1960’s and has a rocky history. It opened and closed many times between then and final closure in 1979. It was popular for a time, even hosting the state ski championships in the late 1960’s. Today, the base lodge remains, and can be used as a function hall by members of the neighborhood association. The road to the top is now lined with houses, and it ends at the remaining structure for the old T-Bar lift, which still has its cables coming up from the bottom. Some daring folks still ski the overgrown trails.

drive to the top (end) of the road. You will see the lift structure, and a great view of Lake Winnipesaukee at the right time of year.  Cache is in a tree near the structure. Use the hint if needed. Good luck!
