Hadleigh Methodist is part of a circuit of seventeen churches in the Southend, Castle Point and Rochford District.
The present church building was constructed between 1929-30 it replaced a smaller chapel a little further down Chapel Lane, Chapel House now stands on the spot. The foundation stone from the original chapel was moved to the porch of the new church.
In the late 50’s the church was expanded and updated. In 1961 the Youth Hall, Vestry, Kitchen and toilets were added.
The church is very active and forms part of the local community with many clubs using the facilities during the week.
Parking is available in Chapel Lane, please do not use the church parking.
Congratulations on Mathsnut on the FTF
