Geocache Description:

Dead-end road leading to the Penn's Weeping Beech

One of the Penn's Trees: Historic Weeping Beech.

A Penn Tree must have been alive when William Penn took title for the Pennsylvania territory from the King of England (King Charles) to qualify. The coordinates will bring you to an easily found bison tube on the fence under the foliage of this 300+ year-old tree. Yes, 300+ years old.

No need to go into the fenced area.

A sign hidden behind the foliage reads:
Planted by Alexander Bane; 1703-1711

I mention this cache when I teach the Scout Geocaching Merit Badge, and in other Geocaching seminars. I was disappointed when it was archived, then I thought... why not bring it back?

Kudos to ajkorrmann, the original Cache Owner.
