The Parkville Saturday Night BBQ

Welcome to the traditional Geocaching Victoria Saturday Night BBQ. The Parkville Event, 2018 will be the fourth MEGA event in as many years in the state Victoria and that makes it the longest running annual MEGA event in the southern hemisphere!

Over the years we have developed a fine tradition of putting on a darn good feed on the Saturday night of our MEGA event and this year will be no exception. Held on the lawns outside of the Urban Camp, this BBQ will centre around some great BBQ food, plenty of conversation, fun and games as well as the presentation of some awards and geocoins. The recognition of some milestone that people have achieved is always nice to share with everybody, and of course the announcement of the new inductees to the now highly regarded Australian Geocacher Hall of Fame will take place.

There are plenty of other details that we are working out as we go, but if you want a good feed and some great light hearted entertainment, then this event has to be one of the “must do” items on you MEGA weekend agenda.

• The event will run from 6pm to 9pm on Saturay the 17th of November, 2018
• It is requested that you bring your own chair to this event

Make sure you log your Will Attend on this event if you intend on coming and the number of people you expect to be bringing along so that we can cater adequately. Further details regarding this event will be posted as announcements in due course.

There is plenty of free parking at the Sate Netball and Hockey Centre just 200m up the road, or there are public transport options via the Flemington Bridge train station and the number 58 tram stopping at Elliot Ave, 400 meters away. Or there are numerous bike paths that lead into Royal Park. The options for getting to this event are almost limitless!
