New and seasoned Geocachers are invited to join us at the Leongatha Community House for an "Introduction to Geoching" session where the intricacies and fun of geocaching will be covered to general members of the Leongatha and district community.
Topics covered will include: Apps, types of caches, cache containers, obligations and requirements, events, swaps, Travel Bugs, how to use the apps to find a cache and other subjects which may arise. This is aimed at true beginners, but those new to the addiction are welcome to come along and find out answers to their questions.
Participants may like to try solving a simple puzzle to find later in their own time, or try finding one of the local caches with the help of more experienced cachers after the sesson.
The facilities of the Community Centre will be at our disposal, like internet access, tea and coffee making facilities and toilets.
Date: Saturday 25th August
Time: 10am to 12 noon.
Where: Leongathe Community House, 16 Bruce Street, Leongatha.
Bring: your smart phone or tablet loaded with a Geocaching App like Geocaching.com, note book, pen or pencil, clothing appropriate to the predicted weather for the day.
