Hersham railway station is a small, 2-platform station on Molesey Road, and although not technically within the boundary of Hersham, many claim it is. The regular off-peak service is 2 trains an hour towards Woking and 2 an hour towards London Waterloo, but during peak times, 4 trains go to Waterloo, and half of the Woking-bound trains go all the way to Guildford. It is where Queen Victoria first saw a steam train, and during the 2016-2017 period, it saw just under 850,000 passengers.
Be very careful whilst crossing the road, there are no dedicated pedestrian crossings.
At the published coordinates, you will stand by a bike shelter. Count how many separate rooves there are to this large shelter.

Now walk towards the ticket office, then towards the stairs leading up to the platform. How many characters (excluding spaces) are after the words "Platform 1" on the blue sign on the right?

Now, walk under the bridge towards platform 2. Walk towards the stairs, and on the brick wall on the left, there is an oval-shaped white disc. Have a look at what it says on the middle line. It does contain a letter, which you should not count. Look at how many chains are shown on that sign as well.
