There used to be a beautiful little birdhouse here, which was enjoyed by many visiting birds over the years. Thanks to the owner's generosity, the birdhouse is being retired to make room for something new. I don't think the birds will enjoy it as much, but hopefully geocachers will find it a suitable replacement.
You're looking for a small container just hanging out enjoying the breeze. Access is from the New Almaden trail. (From the Mockingbird Hill parking lot, take the upper fork when the trail splits.) There are several game trails leading to the cache. The one at the provided waypoint offers the shortest off-trail distance and minimal poison oak.
Park hours are 8:00am to sunset. Happy hunting!
