A cache situa-se ao longo de uma das bonitos trilhos da ilha do Faial.
Esta trilho (PR03FAI) segue as levadas do (quase) o início até a bacia de agua no final.
O trilho tem 7,6 km de comprimento, é relativamente plana (além da parte que sofreu com um deslizamento de terra) e leva cerca de 2 horas e meia.
Para encontrar a geocache não é necessário percorrer todo o trilho. Você encontrará a cache a cerca de 1 km do estacionamento.
As levadas (canal de água) inauguradas em 1964 são projetadas para coletar água que desce as encostas da montanha e as transporta para uma bacia de água.
Aqui a água é coletada e transportada para uma pequena central hídrica no Varadouro, gerando energia hidroelétrica.
Várias partes da levada estão fora de ordem devido às forças da natureza. As levadas tinham um comprimento total de 10 km, dos quais 8 km são cobertos com esta trilho.
O trilho serpenteia por florestas e campos e tem pontes sobre vários ribeiras. Mesmo em um dia quente esta é uma caminhada muito agradável.
O nome do cache é na verdade um jogo de palavras.
Por causa da natureza da trilha, depois da chuva, partes do trilho podem ficar muito lamacentas, então essas partes só podem andar com um pé em cada lado dos lados de betão da levada.
Um amigo Holandês, que me acompanhou numa caminhada pela levada, viu-me fazer isso e disse em Holandês o.k. temos que ir "wijdbeens" (de pernas abertas).
A tradução fonética para o Inglês (não tem nada a ver com a tradução literal) soa como “White Beans” (feijão branco).
É assim que esse cache tem nome.
Aproveite o passeio que, em alguns locais, você pode ter que fazer "White Beans".(feijão branco)

The cache is situated along one of the beautiful hiking trails of Faial island.
This trail (PR03FAI) follows the levada´s from (almost) the beginning to the waterbasin at the end.
This trail is 7.6 km long, is relatively flat (apart from the part that suffered from a landslide) and takes about 2 and a half hours.
To find the geocache it is not necessary to walk the whole trail. You will find the cache about 1 km from the parking.
The levada´s (water channel) inaugurated in 1964 are designed to collect water that runs down the mountain slopes and transport it to a water basin.
Here the water is collected and being transported to a small hydric central in Varadouro, thus generating hydro electric energy.
Several parts of the levada´s are now out of order due to forces of nature.
The levada´s had a total length of 10 km of which 8 km is covered with this trail.
The trail meanders through forests and fields and has bridges over numerous riverbeds.
Even on a hot day this is a very pleasant walk.
The name of the cache is actually a word joke.
Because of the nature of the trail, after rainfall parts of the trail can be very muddy so those parts you can only walk with one foot on either side of the concrete sides of the levada.
A Dutch friend, who accompanied me on a levada walk saw me do this and said in Dutch o.k. we have to go “ wijdbeens” (with legs spread).
The fonetical translation into English (has nothing to do with the literal translation) sounds like “White Beans”.
That is how this cache got it´s name.
