Geocache Description:

AKA Back Entrance

AKA The Beaver Train

I have lived extremely close to this location for over 5 years, and it took until only a few months ago to find this other entrance to Beaver Brook Reservation. It cuts down hugely on the amount of time to get into the park should you live within walking distance, as I do. I think our hound appreciates not having to get in the car to get here. This is a great place for dogs, and you can usually find a playmate for your pooch here. They also enjoy cool drinks from the brook, though I myself wouldn't drink it.

The water was high when I placed this cache, and thus I think it should be safe from floods.

Things to note:

1. Careful crossing the tracks!

2. There is a tributary of Beaver Brook that emerges from a double-culvert very close to this spot. I have yet to figure out where its flow comes from. There is a tiny, often-dry waterfall right across Route 60 from the Waverly Square Stoppy Shop, but the flow coming out of these culverts seems much more substantial than just that. There seems to be no other creek around that could supply it. I'm rather stumped
