Geocache Description:

The first generation of wormhole caches were published in 2010, the series started with three caches. Fast forward to now, and a tradition continues to carry on. We hope you enjoy this April Fool’s Day prank! Thanks again to Team Gates for keeping this tradition alive.

The cache is hidden along the new "Troy Trails" system.

Wormhole

This trail is 1.3 miles long and runs from the Troy Historical Village (where the 2018 Troy Wormhole cache is!) to the dog park along Livernois then across to the Civic Center (where the 2016 and 2017 Troy Wormhole caches are!). There are nice views of Big Beaver Creek, now called Sturgis Drain. Legend has it that there was a large beaver lodge and dam, for which the community and road may have been named, located here in the 1800s. The city's goal is to eventually connect this trail to the Clinton River Trail in Auburn Hills or Rochester.

Public parking is available at the dog park but NOT along Wattles. It is about a 1/2 mile from the dog park to the final location. You could also park at the Troy Historical Village but the distance would be further and you need to cross Wattles and Livernois (there are designated crosswalks for safety).

This cache is NOT located at the posted coordinates. A lot of times when seeking a cache, you must follow a blind trail - you have no idea where it leads. The map below is not a representation of this trail but will lead you to the cache. When I placed the cache on a cold day in early March there was a suprisingly large number of people using the trail, so please watch for muggles, as the cache is located less than 20 feet from the trail.
