Hoit Marsh Road Pond is one of my favorite spots ... especially in the Springtime when all the Peepers are singing in their choir. They love evening songs so stop & listenBe careful parking either in the lot or loop or nearer the cache is a spot for only one car. There is walking room beside the road ... just hold kids hands. Watch for traffic.
Frogs begin their lives as little jelly-like eggs that the tadpole eats as its first nourishment. The tadpole has gills and a tail that soon disappear as it grows legs and nostrils to become a hopping frog. They are cold blooded so in cold weather they nestle in the mud & hybernate. In warm weather they love the lily pads on the marsh.
Post pics as the lily pads bloom and especially if you see any of the frogs Mostly, I hear the splash as they dive in the pond because they see me before I see them
