The cache is a small green ammo box. It had a log book and camera for recording your visit, along with other small items including lottery tickets, the 1999 State quarter series, mardigras beads, golf balls, cards, chipclips, and other items.
We are also trying to start a hitchhiker. Since we are new to this, we’re not sure how well it will work, but if successful will create a web page showing it’s travels. The hitchhiker is a Mizzou keychain attached to its own log book.
The difficulty rating was hard to choose because depending on the trail you find, it can be more or less strenuous. Although a mere 1/4 mile from the road, some of the trails can be pretty steep. There also might be motorcycles riding on the trails, but the front part of the park is less traveled than the back. You will probably want to take precautions for ticks. They are pretty thick in the woods here.
