I was out caching with cwlutterloh when we spied this Sequoia tree towering 50ft+ over the other trees in the area. This is not a native tree for Tennessee, and once you get close, you notice that it's not a real tree afterall. It's a cellular tower in disguise!
Cellular providers occassionally need to place a tower near a residential area without impacting home values. To do this, they are required to cloak them so that they blend in with the local environment. In my career, I've seen them disguised as religious artifacts, Pine Trees, and now Sequoias.
To retain credit for this cache visit, please answer these questions and send the response to my geocaching profile mail address.
1) What is the tower number? Fill in the number: "S9_ _6"
2) What is the name directly above it?
3) What color are the alpha/numerics lettering on the box?
Access to the base of the "tree" is restricted, and is not necessary.
