Who's up for a long hike up a mountain to get one cache?
Yeah, I knew there would be a line of cachers..
I found this spot many years ago with my father before I geocached or mountain biked. We were hiking around Weston Mt and what possessed us to hike down this brook I don't know but we did. I remember finding this spot and being amazed that such an untouched and otherworldly spot could exist so close to home.
I would highly recommend bringing a friend along on this trip. The terrain is very difficult, umm wait till you get to GZ, lots of wildlife tracks in the area, little to no cellphone and two pairs of hands is going to be very helpful to get this. Evil laugh......
How to get here?
There is a nice dirt road that starts at Holiday Farm that goes close to the cache but PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE UP IT!!! The gates may be open at times but there is active construction on the powerlines with large machinery driving up and down it with locked gates before and after the powerlines. Also, Dalton has a public works garage up there and Holiday Farm does logging.
Now could ride a bicycle up there like I did? Yeah, it's steep!
Well, enjoy your hike. Let your loved ones know you're going geocaching and it will be sometime before your back. I know you will be cursing me when you reach GZ. Evil laugh again...
