On September 11, 2001 the world changed forever. As we approached the one year anniversary of that day, people
all over remembered how they felt and thought about how things are different now.
We are a husband and wife who look for caches together. Barry is originally from Long Island with family now residing
in Manhattan and was profoundly effected by the events of September 11. While we were out looking for a cache
one day we started talking about making a cache dedicated to the memory of the World Trade Center.
Since we were going to New York, we decided to collect items commemorating that day and hide the cache when
we came back to California. The result of our thoughts is this cache.
The cache is in a clear plastic container with a white lid. It is full of items that have something to do
with the World Trade Center. Take something and tell us your thoughts about September 11. If you don't have anything
to share, just sign the log book. When the cache is empty, we will restock it with New York themed items and it
will become a regular take and leave something cache. There is also a camera in the cache – take a picture!
While you are hiking to this cache, we hope you will think about how your life has changed. When we were hiking,
we realized how lucky we are to have each other and our friends and family. We hope you will, too.
