Geocache Description:

A former student of mine was the 2018 White Mountain National Forest Artist in Residence. He created a "Centennial Spiral" Sculpture out of a 100 year old white pine tree that fell in the Dolly Copp campground. 2018 was the 100th year celebration of the White Mountain National Forest. The sculpture can be seen at the campground.

While visiting him working at the site I spotted this artifact and asked if I could have it, and so here it is as a cache for all to find.

The cache container is glued in place, just remove the lid for log signing. The "protector" needs just to be lifted a bit and swung to the right. Please repace as found. Always remember to step lightly in the woods.

The road is closed and gated in the winter.

There are many caches to enjoy along the road. Enjoy!
