We love paddling down the River Lea Navigation and tend to set off from Hertford where there is a place to launch within 100m or so from a public car park. I have included parking and trailhead co-ordinates. Launching from here will also allow you to take in Noztradamus&JackNano's excellent Messing About on the River series as you journey out to this cache. Alternatively there is a much closer car park, at Burgage Lane in Ware. At the bottom of this car park a set of steps take you straight down to the canal. Again, I have included co-ordinates.
The terrain rating for this cache reflects the special equipment needed to get to GZ. The difficulty rating reflects the task in actually retrieving the cache (which is easy enough to spot, but difficult to retrieve).
