Geocache Description:

**UPDATED COORDS** N 043* 32.566' W 072* 16.742' Unfortunately my original cache has been muggled. The old ammo can has gone missing, along with all of its contents. So I have hid another, in a safer, more secluded location and replaced the contents. Still an old ammo can, about .1 miles away from the original. Still follow the blue blazes and signs for French's Ledges from the parking lot. But this time as you are nearing the end of the trail, pay attention to the left side of the trail, and you will see what looks to be an old trail that goes up and to the left. Detour there, and take the path less traveled by. Its easy to overlook, but its there. (coords for where you detour are N 043* 32.616' W 072* 16.752') This will not take to you to the peak of french's ledges, but the first set of ledges, instead. It is pretty steep, but worth it. At the top, you will be treated to a more private, secluded spot, with a spectacular view, and a spectacular drop, so keep an eye on your littles if you have any with you. When standing there at the lookout, you are not far from the cache. Coords should be pretty accurate, more or less. But I tried to hide it better, to limit the risk of it being muggled a second time. Use your geosenses, there are plenty of good hiding spots. Hopefully, it will be safe here, and you can take a few moments to relax and enjoy it without ever being spotted by another person! After, go back down the way you got up, and hop back on to the main trail (blue blazes) and continue on to the other more popular peak and enjoy the view, just for fun.

Ralph Waldo Emerson was an American Transcendentalist poet, philosopher,  and essayist during the 19th century.   Emerson believed that God was revealed through nature.  He saw a direct link between man, nature and God.

In my personal experience,  I have never felt closer to God, than when i am surrounded by his work.  In the middle of the forest, alongside a babbling brook, near the roar of the crashing waves, on a mountain top ; that is where I have found my peace,  my God, not inside any building. ~B.

This cache is part of a series of poetry caches I will be placing.  Located at the top of French's Ledges, Cache is an old ammo can.  Inside you will find a  short biography of the poet, several swaps and a selection of quotes and poems to share, feel free to take one with you, and, if you are so inclined, leave one behind.

there are several trails that can take you to the top. You can park at the Plainfield Elementary School, at the trailhead, and follow the blue blazes!
