Geocache Description:


Northwesterly from Diamond Hill is situated a granite quarry, containing the finest quality of stone for building purposes in New England.  The Diamond Hill Granite Company was chartered June, 1877, George F. Wilson, President.  The company have built a half-mile railroad connecting with the main road at Diamond Hill.  A forty-horse-power engine is used hoisting cars and operating the drills.
