This cache is is located in Mount Cemetery in the town of Cummington,Mass. This cemetery had it's first burial, Joel Thayer on January 20th,1798. Three Revoluntionary War patriots were burried in this cemetery ; Seth Wilder Sr. & Jr and Nathaniel Holbrook. This cache is the size of a grapefruit.,it contains a log sheet only,so please byop. If you can read , you will find the cache! Near Jan 29, 1871 - Oct. 30th, 1941. This cache is not winter friendly. Please close the container tightly to keep the log dry for the next cacher. Please note the following: If its winter time that you seek this cache--do yourself a big favor and approach from the Chesterfield side of Mount Rd--From the Chesterfield side ; it's snow plowed 95% of the way to the cemetery. If you enter from the Goshen/Cummington side of Mount Rd ,you'll likely be cursing as the road is ONLY PLOWED TO ABOUT HENDRICK RD - not at all close to the cemetery --it would be a Long Long walk! Parking is available across from the cemetery. The care taker requests that no dogs be brought into the cemetery & daylight visits be made only.
