The tiny castle of Vranduk is located on a slope at the bend of the river Bosna. 14-15. Many fortifications were built under the influence of the 14th century Ottoman. These included the nearby castle of Zenica, which was built by the end of the 14th century. It is interesting that the earliest document mentioning it is a letter of complaint dated 1410. Its walls also served to protect Bosnian kings. In 1463, however, it was taken over by the Ottomans, and since Jeno Savoyai's campaign of 1697 bypassed the castle, Turkish occupation remained until the occupation of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy in 1878. In 1890 the fortress was abandoned but steps were taken to preserve it. Despite its renovation, the castle retains its style of mountain fortresses.
