This cache is for kids to come out and enjoy Rauscher Farm, a lovely Clinton conservation property with several trails, and other geocaches.
Before the town purchase, Rauscher Farm was a working, commercial farm. Historical records show that as early as 1716 colonial settlers were on the farm. In 1653, a purchase of land from the Nashaway Nipmuc Indians included the Rauscher Farm area. And dating back further, prehistoric sites abound throughout the Clamshell Pond area.
The cache is a medium lock and lock container, and it's packed with fun stuff - please trade for other good stuff! I've started it out with a yoyo, a hand-knit giraffe finger puppet from Peru, a superball, earbuds, a lizard, and all the other toys I could fit. Plus Bobby, my latest travel bug.
The FTF prize is a bag containing 4 rocks I picked up in my travels, including a desert rose.
