Whitehall State Park's main feature is the Whitehall Reservoir, where visitors can boat (boat ramp available) and fish. There are more than six miles of trails circumnavigating the park. This cache is a four-part multi-stage series along the western shore at some of the best lookout points. You are encouraged to stop, enjoy the views, and take pictures at each locations. In particular, be sure to review the history plaques made by the Boy Scouts near S3. All stages are small tupperware containers with the coordinates for the next stage on the underside of the lids.
All stages are accessible on foot or mountain bike. Hike from the parking lot and back will probably take more than an hour, or you can continue around the lake for a six-mile-plus loop.
