Two summers ago I created this cache. It was meant to be a birthday present for DeweyDecimator2, but we couldn't find a spot to hide it. The cache had been left sitting in a box of caching supplies...until now!
While taking a stroll through Benson Park one afternoon, the sun glowed through the trees, illuminating the perfect spot to hide a cache just off one of the main paths. Finally, the perfect location!
Bottle Cap Cache has a theme to it. Whether you choose to participate in the theme is up to you. I love drinking bottled sodas and hoard all of the bottle caps since they usually have unique designs. Inside the cache is a variety of soda bottle caps, roughly 10 or 12 of them. The idea behind this cache was to be able to trade/collect unique caps.
All types of trade items are welcome, not just bottlecaps! The cache is big enough to hold small items and contains a pencil for signing the log. We left a small birthday cake candle in the cache to remember the original reason why it was created.
Remember to use some stealth and to replace everything back securely where it was found. There is possibly a little bit of poison ivy in the area.
