This cache is named after one of our dogs, Blackie. Blackie was rescued from Georgia, and brought up to Maine in December 2016, when we adopted him. Soon after we adopted him, we realised he was very sick, and with great veterinary care, love, patience and time, Blackie made a full recovery.
**Update. Sadly, on Dec. 25th, 2023, Blackie passed away surrounded by everyone that he loved, and loved him dearly. Rest in peace handsome boy.
We chose this spot for Blackie's cache because we walk here often with him where is it calm, which is Blakcie perferred style of trails.
This cache is located on the Salmon Falls Reserve which is apart of the Three Rivers Land Trust. Three Rivers Land Trust operates many different trails in the area, we recommend you check the other trails out as well! Parts of the trail run along the Salmon Falls River and has some amazing views!
Please remember, carry in, carry out. Dogs must be under control. This trail is open year round.
BYOP. Cache is a small container with a log and might have room for small trading items.
Congrats to the FTF Birderchick!
